31 days of....M's

Day 1 - meaningful music I am internet/website/linky things illiterate. I cannot figure out spacing on how to make a new paragraph. And if I can figure out how to link myself to the Nester, I will. Until then, if you want to check out all the other 31 Dayers, go to www.thenester.com. When I decided to write for 31 days about the same thing, I didn't actually come up with a topic until...now. And because I cannot think of just one thing I want to think about & write about for 31 days, I am going with my original idea of writing about all things M. When I think back to my earliest memories of going to church, it's about the music. I remember as a preschooler, wanting to sing hymn #228 in the red Baptist Hymnal, "Surely Goodness & Mercy."

In grade school, I learned to read music, and sing alto, as we sang hymns at church. In junior high, I got to join the youth choir. Woohoo! We even went on a "choir tour" and sang at three or four churches somewhere between Louisiana & Texas. Great memories. Bob Beck was our music director & Cheri Greer was leading the youth group. In high school, music took on a whole new meaning. Up until then, as Kelli & I had always shared a room, we played what we both enjoyed. But now, that she had moved to the dorm at LC, I could play whatever music I wanted to! And if I wanted to listen to Amy Grant's "My Father's Eyes" 52 times in one afternoon, I could. And I'm sure that I did.

I'm going to be a 31 Dayer

The Nester has issued the challenge once again this year, inviting bloggers to blog for 31 days in October.  I think I'm going to try.  Now to decide on what to write about -- the same topic for 31 days!  Moving? Music? Marriage? Men? Marshmellows? McMahans? Marchmans? Meekers? Mary Margaret?  Just kidding, I got a little carried away with the M's there.  I've got a week to decide. Stay tuned.  I'm hoping this will be enjoyable for all 2 of you that read this.
